PROCEDURES AND RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING COVID-19
Given the situation that has developed due to the Covid-19 crisis, we at Palm Beach Club Apartamentos have devised the following procedure to minimize the risk of contracting the virus for clients and employees. We have based this protocol on the following premises:
- Keeping employees and clients safe
- Reducing contact between employees and clients
- Digitalizing services when possible
- Adapting to new customer needs, through modified cancellation and payment policies
Based on these principles, the new cleaning and social distancing measures have been developed to allow for a safe reopening, in which we can all feel safe.
CLEANING AND HYGIENE MEASURES
New cleaning equipment: We have enhanced our cleaning procedure with the incorporation of the use of a bleach dilution and Ethanol at a concentration of over 70%. These are in line with the recommendations made by the Spanish Health authorities.
Enhanced cleaning procedure: The apartment cleaning procedure has been changed to uphold the highest level of cleaning in rooms. We now empty rooms of all elements that can have been in contact with clients, such as trash, sheets, towels, food left in kitchens. Once this has been done the room is disinfected, including all surfaces, sofa, remotes, tiled surfaces, a new set of PPE is used by employee and last thing we do is make beds and set out towels.
PPE : All employees have been provided with adequate PPE. They must always wear masks and gloves during cleaning.
Laundry procedure: All sheets and towels are cleaned at a temperature over 60ºC.
Air Conditioning sytems: Thorough cleaning of the A/C units in rooms, with cleaning of filters between stays.
Reduction of textiles and kitchen utensils: We have reduced the number of decoration textiles in the apartments, minimizing these to curtains and pillows on sofas. As they are surfaces harder to disinfect. Also, we have reduced kitchen utensils to the basics, but as always let us know if you are missing anything and we will stock your kitchen.
Room cleaning service: We normally clean every three days and change sheets once a week in the apartments. We understand a lot of people would rather not have cleaning service at this time, so if you wish to have the cleaning please contact reception and we will set it up. Please be aware that you must vacate the room, as employees will not be able to enter whilst it’s occupied.
Dispensers: Hydroalcoholic gel dispensers can be found in reception, at the lifts and out by the pool. Please disinfect your hands as frequently as possible.
Swimming pool area: There is a thorough cleaning of the pool before reopening every morning. All furniture and bathrooms are disinfected ready for our clients to use.
SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES
Common area rules: We ask that you wear a mask on the premises to protect yourself and others. 1,5 meter rule applies, and we ask that you follow this rule whenever you can.
Lifts: Lifts should be used only with members of your family/group or same apartment. Please do not get into lifts with other clients.
Protective screens: There is a protective screen set up in reception, so that the interaction with reception staff is safe for all.
Automatic check-in machine: Our check-in machine will allow for clients to check-in with no need for contact with employees.
Swimming pool: The pool furniture has been set up to allow for 2 meters between groups and for safe entry and exit to pool and patio. We ask you respect the set up. Also, we have made available disinfectant product to spray down furniture before you use it.
So how will this affect your stay? What changes will you find at….
Check-in: We will ask that whenever possible you check-in through our automatic check-in machine; Staff will be available and if this is not possible, we will be able to check you in as always
Cleaning: There is an enhanced cleaning procedure of common areas, which are cleaned 3 times a day. Also, if you wish to have room cleaning service you must set it up with reception, to allocate a time and you must vacate your room.
Maintenance: If there is a maintenance issue in your apartment you must vacate your room for staff to enter.
Swimming pool: The new capacity has been set at 80 people, so this should not be an issue. You must however respect new social distancing measure such as beds set at 2 meters from each other and use of disinfectant products on arrival.
